马虎山(1910年—1954年,小儿经:ﻣَﺎ ﺧُﻮْ شً)是马家军军阀马仲英的姐夫以及追随者。1934年至1937年新疆南部统治者,其政府被西方人称为东干斯坦。[2]
生平
在苏联入侵新疆期间,马虎山数次击退苏联红军和俄国白军,战功彪炳。[3][4]
1934年,他率领中央陆军新编第三十六师参与喀什战役。[5]
翌年,马虎山的中央陆军新编第三十六师在若羌县参与镇压维吾尔人的婼羌暴动[6]并成功夺得新疆南部的绿洲,该地区被彼得·弗莱明命名为“东干斯坦”。但在此时,新疆大部分地区已遭盛世才占领,马虎山遂派遣使节前往南京,要求南京国民政府提供援助以抗衡盛世才和苏联。
1937年新疆战争
马虎山后来制定了反苏“圣战”计划,以期望征服克里姆林宫、俄国突厥斯坦和西伯利亚。[8]他曾发誓要摧毁欧洲并征服俄罗斯和印度。[9]
但后来马的军队被盛世才和苏联击败,士兵仓皇逃窜。马虎山流亡英属印度。[10]他随身携带约数千盎司的黄金被当地英国人没收,[11]作为对马家军在喀什掠夺英国财产的补偿,但最终英国人将部分黄金转交盛世才。[12]马虎山被英国短暂拘留后于1938年从加尔各答乘坐轮船返回中华民国青海省。[13]
西北剿匪
1950年至1954年,马虎山运用游击战术领导残留于中国的国军士兵对抗中国人民解放军。最终于1954年被捕,并在兰州被处决。[14][15]
